Remember my shamrock plant that I gave a haircut to right around St. Patrick's Day?  Apparently, my continuity of care is working.  The roots continue to grow; the plant keeps changing by growing new branches, and it continues to stretch to the daylight.  It is even growing more new sprouts and has been blossoming this week.  Amazing little plant!  I'm enjoying watching it bounce back from the mowing!

Happy Wednesday!  Thanks for stopping by!  The sun is shining again!  All the different birds are flying around and singing.  Different little plants are popping up.  They are all united in the advancement of Spring.  I respect all the differences and enjoy seeing them spring into action.

Meanwhile in the house...I respect the way Dessy is "different" - never misses the opportunity to use a box in a different way!  Looks like she drank all the Canoe Paddler first...

Doing the wrong thing at the right moment

I was playing with my camera the other night.  I was holding it in the wrong position just to see what the pictures would turn out like.  I'm finding that when I try too hard to get a good picture, I miss some of the best shots.  So this time, I just held it out and "aimed" it at Tizzie for a few shots and was able to catch at the right moment a few unique shots.  I sure admire the professional photographers who can capture great moments.  I'm just enjoying learning about how to take more unique photos.

Surprises

Life is full of surprises – John Major

80 degrees one day, a foot of snow the next day, and then followed by a rainstorm today.  I wonder what the birds and the animals think?  When life throws them the unpredictable surprises, they just keep on going. I'm sure some crawl in their hole.  Some cower and hide.  But some just go on like the weather is just part of life.  The grass is growing like crazy, it loves all this moisture.  Blah, blah, blah right?

Hmmm...yes, Miss Sarah, I blogged about the weather again!  But surprise - it's really about you!

Surprise - here's a little kudos to you for the great creative surprises and pictures in your art show.  I was pleasantly surprised to see all your creations and most of all to see you handle your surprise interviews so well too!   Congratulations!!

Mindlessly unthinkable

I think it is incredibly unthinkable that we would have a snow storm in May.  But we did!  It just seemed unthinkable to have to deal with yet one more snowstorm.  We're tired, we're done, and we want spring.  Duh!  So I confess, I didn't have any thoughts to share yesterday.  I just mindlessly grabbed my boots, put them on and ventured off to work without thinking about blogging.  I let the unthinkable win.

So today, let's think about things differently and take some action.  The great news is...this snow won't last.  The moisture is a good thing for the future crops for the upcoming season.  The birds and the trees, while shocked, will survive because the weather will again turn warm.  The grass will grow fast.  Soon, we'll be complaining about having to mow it.   The people who put their boots on and made snowmen enjoyed the snow.  The people who sang Christmas songs on the way to work enjoyed the snow and made light of the situation.  That's the way I want to be - enjoy even the unthinkable moments and take action!

Happy May Day!  The overnight rain has the grass growing green and the flowers are finally starting to pop up.  I know it is supposed to turn cold again, but for a moment, I'm counting my blessings and enjoying the arrival of new month and more spring like weather!
