Amateur Photography - Discovering my Cameras

"A photographer who made a picture from a splendid moment, an accidental pose of someone or a beautiful scenery, is the finder of a treasure." - Robert Doisneau
Now that's an inspirational way of looking at photography.  I think that's one of the reasons I'm enjoying discovering how my camera works.  I've had my camera for almost a year now, I'm still an amateur and still discovering how to use all the features.  My "to do" list is on this page so I have a reference to the posts where I've used a technique or a setting on the camera.  I needed a place to keep myself focused on the tasks and for a sense of accomplishment.  It's a good thing to record what you do so you can see where you started on the journey and how far you've gone.  I'm also including other cool websites that have been helpful in my discovery.

My to do list:

Canon Camera - this is new to me as of Dec 2012.  There are way more settings and options with this camera than my little handheld point and click camera below.  As we start the new year, I'm still working on my plan on how to "master" the new camera.  It's a bit intimidating but exciting at the same time.  I'll keep updating this page with my plan as it evolves.
