Mixed "Glads"

Yeah...two bleeding hearts!
“Today was good. Today was fun. Tomorrow is another one.” - Dr. Seuss
Today I completed a couple of dreaded tasks.  I'm GLAD they are completed.  I'm excited too to find that my "mixed glads" are actually bearing a new color.  A rich dark purple....and, I found another bleeding heart starting.  With Sarah's tips on how to use my camera, I was able to catch a new and improved view.  Technique, technique, technique....well, at least the camera is set better.  Once again, my faithful companion Copper joined me in the discovery session.

Mondays

“Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced.”- James Baldwin

Relaxing
Copper always ready for an adventure
Thinking fondly of a time when I looked forward to Mondays more than I do nowadays.  When my kids were school age and my husband was the one getting ready for the corporate work week.  It meant the week was just beginning and the "to do" list of projects to get done had 5 days to get them done.  Ah....that's a refreshing way to start the week.  Now, I grab my cup of coffee, check email and my favorite Facebook friends activity, my work schedule and face the day ahead.    I'll be remembering putting my feet up and a stroll around the yard with Copper.  Time to hit the treadmill!  Happy Monday.....

Second Attempt - Bleeding Heart

No flash, still difficult to get a good picture of this tiny little flower.  Copper enjoyed the adventure as always.
When the random thoughts become panic that the weekend is almost over and my "to do" list has not been completed, it is time to GET SOMETHING done....

A Decisive Moment

There is nothing in this world that does not have a decisive moment. -Cardinal de Retx

My decisive moment...today begins my adventure "blogging" thanks to my daughter Sarah Mae.  BTW - she set all this up, my only skill in this is that I can type and take very amateur photos.  My family humors me, and my companion in adventures is my little dog Copper (he's shy and ferocious when protecting our yard).

First edit by Sarah Mae - the period (.) goes inside the parentheses.  No it doesn't according to my old typing lessons.  After verifying other sources through Google, we still don't know and have spent way more time than we'd like so on to next random thought!

This is way more fun than all the projects I have sitting around me to complete!!!!

Flowers are so beautiful, but they aren't as easy as one would think to capture in a photo, even with the flower setting.  I discovered a very tiny bleeding heart in my garden yesterday, shared the discovery with excitement and then last night tried to capture it in a photo.  Here's my lame attempt.
I'm guessing the flash washed it out.
We'll wait to see what Sarah says.
It has stopped raining...I think I'll try again.  Be back later!
