Sending greeting cards - do what works for you!

“The art of art, the glory of expression and the sunshine of the light of letters, is simplicity. – Walt Whitman
Tip #10 - 13 Days until Christmas - The tradition of sending greeting cards during the holidays is best when you do what works for you!  If you love to send a picture card - do that!  If you love to send a pretty card with just your signature - do that!  If you love to write a letter of the happenings for the year - do that!  If you'd rather just take a break for a year and see what happens - do that!  If you'd just rather send a Facebook post to all the people you keep in touch with - just do that!  It's the thought that counts, it's the expression and the art behind it that people treasure.  It's the act of mailing greetings out or the receipt of the greeting in the mail and feeling the connection with the sender that brightens the season.  I personally love seeing the pictures and how the families change and grow over the years.  Plus it is way more fun to get a letter or a greeting card in the mail than a bill!

Simply keeping in touch!

This year, I'm collecting the cards in the
basket my mom always used.  She
loved getting greeting cards!
