Bringing it back to essentials

Three grand essentials to happiness in life are something to do, something to love, and something to hope for. – Joseph Addison
I'm pretty sure that I've shared that quote at one point in time.  It's a good reminder as a person embarks on major change in their life.  If I were a hamster, maybe life would be a bit easier.  Look at Chewy - he has all those things.  Something to do - he has several, a running wheel to keep him in shape, a hammock to sleep or climb in, and a log to climb or chew on.  Something to love, he loves his sunflower seeds and yogurt treats.  Something to hope for, any one one of the things he loves, or just getting out and running around in his exercise ball.  Sarah has created this little universe for him that works.  Is it his happiness?  Guess so.  I think his little happiness is shook up each time she cleans his cage.  He's got others out there trying to get him.  It always seems like he's running nowhere, but he seems to enjoy it.  I'm pretty sure the cats have something to do with it and they find happiness in activity as well.  Chewy's universe is a little less complicated than real life.  I know I need to remind myself that staying focused on the three essentials will help when you're going through major change.  Focus, focus, focus...and a good night's sleep might help too!

Ah, the treadmill - he seems to like
his treadmill; Tizzie's life is simple too -
her happiness is to keep trying to catch that little guy

Safe and sound in his little world of happiness

Partners in life - their hoping someday,
they will catch this little guy
