Creative improvisivity -

Improvisivity:  To improvise by using found items that your surrounding have provided, in creative ways. - Unknown
Yesterday I mentioned we've decided to re-purpose our "living room".  First on the "to move" list was the TV.   The location that we chose to move it to was occupied by a large piece of furniture.  One that requires real movers, not a wimp like me to help relocate.  Our solution - Let's just leave it here until we've decided if we like the new location.  My husband is the master at being able to take a new idea, make it better, and make it work.  That's why we make a great team.  He can always count on me to think of things that need his tweaking or assistance and I can always count on him to figure out a way to make it happen.  We've saved lots of money over the years reusing items in different ways.  We had one computer desk that made the rounds to almost every room in the house.  We could have used it again for this room, but we trained our daughter so well she has it is in her apartment now.  (It was my mom's library table growing up...there's a theme of hanging on to useful stuff too long looming here...)

So, what do you do when you want a new entertainment center but buying one isn't in your budget?  That's right, you use a piano instead.  It has a place for a wireless keyboard and mouse.  It is the right height for viewing from across the room.  You can even log-in to the internet and teach yourself piano.  It still can be used for it's original purpose at any time, just shut off the TV.  Or...you can keep track of your friends on Facebook in ultra large mode!  Creative improvisivity!

He looks right at home in front
of the computer, aka TV on
it's "new" entertainment center.  Oh
yes, the piano was my grandmother's -
so it has seen better days.  I'm
sure she would  have never imagined
it being this kind of entertainment center!

Not so sure about the ergonomics
of it...looks like a bit of a neck strain,
but it works for watching TV and
checking Facebook too!

Tizzie is still loving the chair, now she can watch
TV too!
